No. Hair growth is determined by follicles below the skin — dermaplaning removes only the soft, surface vellus hair without affecting the follicle. It grows back exactly the same. This is the most common misconception about dermaplaning and it's just not true.

Yes — dermaplaning is generally considered safe during pregnancy, and many clients seek it out because it's a gentle, no-chemical exfoliation. We'd skip retinoids and certain peels during pregnancy but dermaplaning is typically fine.

Hydrafacial uses a specific device that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and serum infusion in one pass — more standardized and often gentler. MedSpa Facial is a more traditional esthetician-driven facial with hands-on extraction and customized products. Many clients alternate.
