What it actually does.
Morpheus8 combines two technologies: microneedling that creates microchannels in the skin, and radiofrequency energy delivered through those needles to heat the deeper tissue. The combination triggers collagen remodeling at a depth standard microneedling can't reach — without removing the skin's surface.
The same device treats face and body at different depths. We use shallower settings on delicate areas (eyes, under chin) and deeper settings for laxity (abdomen, thighs). This means a single technology can address concerns from forehead to knees.
Honest framing: Morpheus8 is a meaningful skin-tightening and texture treatment. It is not a facelift. We see real, often dramatic improvement in laxity and texture across a 3-session series, with results continuing to build for several months. Clients who want surgical-level lift should not expect it from this device.
Skin-tone safety: because RF targets water in tissue rather than pigment, Morpheus8 is broadly safe across Fitzpatrick types — a meaningful difference from many laser options.
What to expect.
Before
Skip retinoids and acids on the area for 5 days. Hydrate well in the days leading up. No active tan; sunscreen religiously beforehand. Plan post-procedure downtime around your social calendar.
During
Topical numbing for 30–45 minutes, then we run the handpiece across the area in measured passes. RF energy delivered through the microneedles is the source of the warmth you'll feel. Total treatment 45–60 minutes.
After
Skin will be pink and feel like a sunburn for 24–72 hours. 'Sandpaper' texture and tiny grid marks may be visible 3–7 days; concealable with light makeup after 48 hours. SPF every day going forward.
