The treatment

Morpheus8 is microneedling with radiofrequency heat released at the needle tips. The heat reaches the layer where collagen is made, so skin tightens and texture refines from below while the surface stays largely intact.

It is a meaningful tightening and texture treatment, not a facelift. Results arrive gradually over months, and we'll tell you at consultation if what you want needs a surgeon instead.

How it works

Heat, delivered below the surface.

Morpheus8 Prime, a smaller 12-pin tip for the thin skin around the eyes and upper lip. Shallow, around 2 mm, the depth also used over bone.

  1. Needles set the depth

    A grid of fine, insulated needles enters to a set depth for each area. Insulation keeps the heat off the surface.

  2. Heat goes where collagen lives

    Radiofrequency energy releases at the tips and warms a small zone around each one, about a millimetre beyond the needle.

  3. Your skin rebuilds

    The body answers with new collagen and the tissue contracts. That is slow work: improvement keeps building for six months or more.

  4. A short series

    Most plans are three sessions about four to six weeks apart, then a yearly visit to maintain.

Before, during, after

What to expect.

How a Morpheus8 visit runs, from the days before to the days after. Your provider walks you through all of it at the consultation.

  1. Before

    Skip retinoids and acids on the area for 5 days. Hydrate well in the days leading up. No active tan; sunscreen religiously beforehand. Plan post-procedure downtime around your social calendar.

  2. During

    Topical numbing for 30–45 minutes, then we run the handpiece across the area in measured passes. RF energy delivered through the microneedles is the source of the warmth you'll feel. Total treatment 45–60 minutes.

  3. After

    Skin will be pink and feel like a sunburn for 24–72 hours. 'Sandpaper' texture and tiny grid marks may be visible 3–7 days; concealable with light makeup after 48 hours. SPF every day going forward.
