Soft volume same day · settles over 2 weeks
Lasts months, not years · varies by person
A filler made from you.
Selphyller Gel starts with a small blood draw, spun in the FDA-cleared Selphyl system to separate a clean platelet-rich fibrin matrix. The matrix is then heated in a controlled step that turns it into a smooth, viscous gel. That gel holds its shape under the skin, which is what lets it add volume rather than only improving skin quality.
Nothing synthetic is added. No hyaluronic acid, no animal-derived components, no donor tissue: the gel is your own plasma, platelets, and fibrin. As it integrates, the growth factors carried in the matrix keep stimulating your own collagen, so the area continues to improve after the initial volume settles.
We reach for it in the delicate areas where traditional filler can pool, migrate, or look heavy: under-eye hollows and tear troughs first, then temples, mid-cheek, fine lines around the mouth, and the backs of the hands.
At Colonial Aesthetics, Selphyller Gel is performed by Trisha “Trish” Spence, RN, CANS, a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist with more than a decade in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine and a particular focus on bioregenerative injectables. She also works with PRF EZGel and chooses between the two by area and goal.
Honest framing: an autologous gel is not a replacement for hyaluronic acid filler in every case. It lasts months rather than a year or more, it can't be dissolved with an enzyme, and it is less precise for sharp contour work like lips. Where you want your own biology, a soft result, and a delicate area treated gently, it is a meaningful option.

What to expect.
How a Selphyller Gel visit runs, from the days before to the days after. Your provider walks you through all of it at the consultation.
Before
Eat something light and hydrate. Skip blood thinners (ibuprofen, fish oil, alcohol) for 24 hours if you can. Plan around 3–7 days of swelling; book at least two weeks before an event.
During
A small blood draw, then the tube is spun and the matrix heated into a gel while we numb and mark the areas. The gel is placed with a cannula or fine needle. Expect 60–90 minutes in total.
After
The area looks fuller right away, then swells for a few days; possible bruising for up to a week. Skip strenuous exercise and pressure on the area for 24–48 hours. Judge the result at two weeks, and the skin-quality change over the following two to three months.
