What it actually does.
Dermal fillers are FDA-approved hyaluronic acid gels — a substance your body already makes — placed precisely under the skin to restore volume, soften shadows, or refine proportions. We use the RHA and Restylane families because both have a long safety record and predictable behavior across the face.
There's no single product called 'filler.' Each formulation has a different texture, lift, and flexibility. Lip filler doesn't behave like cheek filler doesn't behave like under-eye filler. We choose the specific product based on the area and what we're trying to do — a quiet but important decision.
Most importantly: HA fillers are reversible. If you don't love a result, or something settles unexpectedly, we can dissolve it. That reversibility is part of why we use HA almost exclusively for traditional filler work.
What to expect.
Before
Skip blood thinners (Ibuprofen, fish oil, alcohol) for 24–48 hours if you can. If you have a big event, book filler at least 2 weeks before — bruising and final settling need time.
During
We cleanse, mark, and use topical numbing or lidocaine (most fillers contain it). Injection takes 15–30 minutes. You'll see early results immediately, though some areas need 2 weeks to settle fully.
After
Mild swelling, possibly bruising, for 3–7 days. Skip strenuous exercise and saunas for 24 hours. Sleep on your back the first night if you can. Final result at 2 weeks.
