What to Expect
-
You may experience mild tenderness or a stinging sensation following the injection.
-
Redness, swelling, and some bruising are normal and can last up to 10 days.
-
You may feel “firmness” in the treated areas, which will soften and settle over 1-2 weeks.
-
Results from Sculptra usually take about 3 months due to the collagen synthesis process. Trust the process.

Post-Treatment Instructions
-
Do not apply makeup and avoid exercise for the first 24 hours.
-
Avoid extended UV exposure until any redness/swelling has subsided. Apply an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen.
-
Massage the areas treated in a circular motion 5 times a day, for 5 minutes each, for 5 days after treatment.
-
Wait a minimum of 2 weeks before receiving laser treatments.
-
You may take Acetaminophen if you experience any mild tenderness or discomfort.
-
Arnica (available at health food stores) may be taken to help with bruising.
-
You may apply an ice or cold gel pack to treated areas (avoiding pressure) as this may help reduce swelling and the potential for bruising.
When to Contact Our Office
