   The Google Fonts stylesheet was a render-blocking request to a second
   origin, and the font files then came from a third. On a phone that is two
   extra TLS handshakes before the first word can be drawn — Lighthouse put
   the stylesheet alone at ~1.3 s of render blocking on slow 4G. Served from
   our own origin, over the connection the page already has, the fonts ride
   along with the CSS and the two above-the-fold files are preloaded from the
   page shell.

   Each file is a variable font covering every weight the site uses
   (Montserrat 400/500/600/700, Playfair 400/500), so one request per style
   replaces four. latin-ext is split out exactly as Google does it: the browser
   downloads it only for a glyph the latin file lacks.

   To change a font: replace the file under /fonts and bump the Expires rule
   in .htaccess if the name stays the same (it should not — rename instead).

   Every page shell loads this file first, before styles.css, and preloads
   PlayfairDisplay-normal-latin.woff2 and Montserrat-normal-latin.woff2. */
